    BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Ivan Marquez, Commissioner of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA), has announced his retirement after 15 years of leading the men’s volleyball conference and 23 years within the EIVA’s administration. Current Assistant Commissioner Russ Yurk has been unanimously voted in by the league’s coaches as the Executive Director during the annual conference meeting.

  • Harvard Falls in Four to UCLA in NCAA Tournament

    LOS ANGELES – Competing in its first NCAA Championship Tournament in program history, the Harvard men's volleyball team (13-14, 10-4 EIVA) was upended 3-1 by UCLA (25-7, 9-3) tonight, May 1, at Pauley Pavilion. Battling the Bruins through four hard-fought sets, the loss came by set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 11-25 and 21-25 as the Crimson was eliminated from postseason play. UCLA will go on to face No. 2 BYU in the second round of the tournament.
  • Harvard Crowned 2018 EIVA Champions, Earns Bid to NCAA Tournament

    FAIRFAX, Va. - Clinching its first EIVA Championship title and trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history, the Harvard men's volleyball team took down Princeton in the 2018 EIVA Tournament finals by a score of 3-1 tonight, April 21, at the Recreation Athletic Complex at George Mason. The Crimson defeated the Tigers for the third time this season by set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 17-25 and 25-23. With tonight's victory, Harvard earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will await its seeding during the NCAA Selection Show this Sunday, April 22.

The Patriots got 41 assists from senior Brian Negron and double-digit kills from RS-senior Christian Malias and sophomore Kyle Barnes, but the x-factor was Princeton's .327 hitting.

    FAIRFAX, Va. - Championship season should bring out the best in every team and that theory held true as the Penn State men's volleyball team exchanged haymakers with Harvard on Thursday (April 19) inside the Recreation Athletic Facility on the campus of George Mason University in the first semifinal of the EIVA Championships. The Nittany Lions, however, weren't able to overcome a slow start, falling in five sets (18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-18, 11-15) to the Crimson.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sophomore Greg Luck recorded 15 kills and 16 digs during a gutsy road showing for the Princeton men's volleyball team Friday night in Harvard, but it was one that fell just short of the goal. The Tigers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set, but the host Crimson held on in the final moments for a 15-13 win to keep its hopes alive to host the EIVA playoffs.
