BRONXVILE, N.Y. - Max Jeanty is the third and final inductee to be showcased on EIVAVolleyball.com as we look back at the careers of all three of the 2018 Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Hall of Fame members.
Jeanty played for Rutgers-Newark between 1989 and 1992 and was a four-time All-EIVA First Team selection for the Scarlet Raiders. He also claimed All-America Honorable Mention every season he played as Rutgers-Newark made an NCAA Semi-Finals appearance in 1990 as a sophomore with the Scarlet Raiders.
Following his collegiate playing career, Jeanty was an assistant coach at Rutgers-Newark during the 1993 and 1994 seasons under Ron Larsen as he would then play professionally in France between 1994 and 1995. Jeanty’s post-collegiate playing experience also saw him compete with the New York Kreyol and Miami Kreyol club teams.
Following his playing career, Jeanty has been a volleyball referee with the USA Volleyball (USAV), Professional Association of Volleyball Officials (PAVO), and Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).
A native of Haiti, Jeanty has given back to his home country after the disastrous earthquake of 2010. Max has donated many boxes filled with athletic gear with the non-for-profit Dig Deep for Haiti as the organization continues to collect donations for various natural disasters in Haiti.
All three of the 2018 EIVA Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during the 2018 EIVA Championship match on Saturday, April 21st in Fairfax, Va.
